What!! How? I thought AO3 bookmarks didn't just... vanish?
Well they are safe as long as the author doesn't decide to delete them.
And I haven't gotten into the habit of downloading stories which I now regret.
I hate it when stuff is deleted, especially if I can't remember what the work was
I remember at least one of them as I was looking for that particular fic to reread and share here but I only remember the plot.
But I noticed multiple deleted works and now I'm dying to know what they were.
That's why it's better that we post our bookmarks in Snape fic recs pages, they remain there. 😸
True but that still won't solve the problem if the author deletes their story. It would only tell you that the story has been removed but it's good that we post the name of the stories and the authors. You can ask on reddit if someone has the story saved to share it with you.
I dont even know why the story I was looking for got deleted in the first place, there was nothing problematic about it, it was just a fluffy story that would be nice to read for Christmas
Yeah, having name of fic and author's name can help find fic in the forum. Otherwise it just disappers from the bookmarks on ao3.
