What's the validity of this argument that Snape feelings for lily were superficial because he didn't change his company for lily and only cared about going to dumbledore because he realized he put lily son in danger but James stood between Voldemort so that lily and harry could get some time to get away.
What's the rational of this argument?
This argument had bothered me before because this is a consistent argument and I hate this.
The context of both of these characters are different and it's not accurate to compare their actions considering the nature of situation and relationship these characters had with lily.
Why do readers bring up this argument? What's your perspective?
Rowling showed complexity of decisions and moral ambiguity here.
Why do you assume readers unable to understand this situation?
