Greetings and salutations!
Quote from Arrexu on December 5, 2024, 8:59 amHello everyone! My name is Arrexu and I've found this place somewhere on reddit in search of more Severus fanfiction. As far as houses go, I'm Slytherin. Although it's a hat stall between Slytherin and Gryffindor. I tend to always question things about the stuff that I do like a Slytherin but unlike Slytherins, I dive into those things headfirst when I get impatient enough. Truly it depends on what situation that is and if I decide which approach tend to get me the best results.
My wand is Larch Wood, 14 and a half inches, phoenix core and rigid flexibility.
My Patronus is a chestnut mare.My favourite fanfiction are those really long ones that mostly focus on my character of choice or whoever I fancy reading. Though I've only started a month ago, I feel like I already read through most Severus fanfics that have lily in them. Oh my favourite ship would be Snily in this case. If there are other ships in the story then I don't really care.
Though I must admit, the longer I read some of those fanfics the more I kinda dislike Lily. It's super weird, but I blame it on seeing Lily in Severus' POV and he's rather biased. In any case that's just me rambling.
My other favourite ships would be Harry x Hermoine and well... Harry and Draco as friends. Is it a ship when they're not romantically involved though? My preferred stories would have to be adventure with a side piece of romance with Severus as the main character. Like him figuring out how to beat Voldemort during his era (marauders era) rather than Harry's. I always found it interesting how various writers would try and figure out a way to connect Voldemort and his horcruxes prior to harry. I've found plenty who have created ingenious ways to do so as well.
It is also my intention to write one too. I've started writing since I was 14 and only published a few since then. I'm in my early 20s now and just recently decided to at least finish 2 stories as practice before I try my hand at my own original story. One of those stories will be a Severus based story from his junior years till the end of his stint in Hogwarts, including epilogue. I'm quite excited to write this as a sort of mystery.
I always tend to love characters like Severus Snape. Bullied at school and perhaps even neglected or even abused at home. Never really checked if that's canon but even then, he is very relatable. Harry is kinda similar but I relate more to snape due to his "fire" so to speak. I've never really read a fanfiction about Severus when he was getting sorted but I believe that, like Harry, his would have been a hat stall between Slytherin and Gryffindor as well. He may be Slytherin through and through but he has equal amounts of bravery in him. Just an overall relatable character, for me at least. It's always a joy to read about a character, who has such rotten luck, fight against what he's been dealt.
I hope this wasn't too long, but nice to meet you regardless!
