Hello everybody! (Queen of Snape and Joker)
Quote from Queen of Snape and Joker on October 31, 2024, 7:06 pmHi! I’m Queen of Snape and Joker and I’ve been writing fics since 2014. I’m 23 and Italian, but I’m trying to write fics in English as well (I hope the prompts on this blog will help me exercise).
I really don’t know when my obsession with HP started. I got into this amazing world thanks to the movies (I used to watch them over and over again w my mom) and was lucky enough to watch some of them as they got released as well. I read the books later in life (not much later, between middle school and high school).
My favourite character has always been Snape (ofc) and I am a Slytherin through and through (my Patronus is a snake called Natrix Natrix, which is funny cause it’s a snake that you could actually find in Italy lol). My other favourite characters are Dumbledore and Grindelwald. I’ve also always loved Hermione and McGonagall.
My favourite kind of ships are Snamione, Grindeldore, Snarry, Snumbledore (I know that some ppl find it gross but I actually think it’s very intriguing, maybe because I discovered it thanks to Delphi’s incredible fics). I basically ship Snape with anybody except for the Marauders lol.
I’m into A LOT of different fandoms, but HP is my first one and I know that it will always (yes, I used the word!!!) hold a dear place in my heart.
Ok, thanks for listening to my rambles and having me here (this is my first blog as well ahaha).
🙂

Quote from Waldemar on November 15, 2024, 9:38 amWelcome! Honestly it’s cool to see someone having a very “native” patronus to their country. I myself for similar reasons sometimes identify with a white eagle patronus, which is a more heraldic of a symbol but reason’s the same.

Quote from Robaku90 on November 17, 2024, 2:58 amFunnily enough, in the 16th century we had Queen Bona, who came to Poland from Italy. Her family coat of arms had a snake eating a child. So we in Poland have something in common with Italy. 😀

Actually, I think Central Europe and in particular especially Poland and Lithuania has a lot of heraldic snakes in individual brood’s emblems as well as a lot of mythological snakes when it comes to medieval and tribal times (think King of Snakes/Król Wężów or Žaltys). I’m not sure myself where that affinity towards snakes came from but it is near cultural.

That is actually so interesting! I had no idea. It makes sense, though, given the universal deep symbolical nature of snakes.

A snake eating a child sounds wild! Ahaha
