Hello Everyone
I only just learned that this place existed, and as Severus is my favorite character, and since I've recently started getting involved with the fanfic community, I thought I'd join this place as well. I've loved the Harry Potter franchise since it started, and very recently I've been immersed in the Marauders era (70s), to the point where I prefer it over the 90s. Anyway, that's my full "hello", and I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of this site.
I'm so happy you've joined us! Marauders era is indeed fascinating – I wish JKR had chosen to delve more into that time. Rather than stuff like Fantastic Beasts and the Cursed Child. Thankfully, we have fanfiction though, right?
Speaking of fanfiction… are you just reading, or are you working on any stories yourself?
Part of me dreads the idea of exploring more of the Marauder era, simply because based on what we got from Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts, I'm worried that the Marauder era would get the same treatment.
I'm working on The Gestaltation of Severus Snape, which I crosspost on both FFN and AO3. I have Act I and Act II Part 1 finished so far.

And you're probably right about how the Marauders would be handled. I imagine Snape's character in particular would get thrown under the bus.
Snape's character is definitely my biggest concern regarding that, yeah. That, and they might either downplay the conflict, completely misrepresent the dynamic of the bully/victim relationship, or cut out parts of what we see and replace it with something that fits their story
Welcome to the site! It's great to have another Snape fan here, and from a different angle. I tend not to think that much about the Marauder's era, but it's such a huge influence over what happens by the time Harry Potter ends up in Hogwarts that I ought to consider it more. And your other post on The Prisoner of Azkaban has got me thinking (and wanting to reread that book), as I remember not approving of Snape epxosing Professor Lupin. We shall see how I feel after a reread. Glad to see you have some fic to share as well!
