Oh my god, YES. This is another song I listen to while I'm writing – not only is it perfect for their relationship, but it's also from the era in which they grew up (late 60s/70s). This is the music that would've been playing on the radio when they were teenagers. They might not have heard it when they were at Hogwarts, but Severus could've easily been exposed to it through Lily when they were home for summer breaks.
I'm actually working on a challenge response based on this premise. I'm planning to link a specific song to the moment Severus realizes he's in love with Lily, though I haven't decided what that song will be. I'm a huge fan of 60s/70s music… there's so much good stuff that it's hard to narrow it down!
Another song that was popular in the 70s. This one is more on the angsty side, and (in my opinion) reflects the contrast between Severus and James. I can definitely see Severus wallowing while playing this song on repeat, especially after Lily and James get together. 😥
