Self-Insert OC

I'm making this topic to see what each of us would want to be if we existed in the Potterverse; what wand you would have, what magic school we would attend (I suspect most of us would choose Hogwarts), what Houses we would want to be in (here's another one if you prefer Ilvermorny), as much detail as you want to add. I'll go first (and may update it):

@motanulnegru, can you explain the concept of bespoke wands if you please?

Bespoke means custom-made.

When I self-insert myself, I imagine myself as a Ravenclaw Hogwarts student in later years (6-7), part of the Marauder-era, halfblood or Muggleborn (not Pureblood, because my primary social circle before Hogwarts was the Muggle one). If I *did* own a familiar, it'd be an owl, but each time I am bored enough to self-insert myself into the universe and imagine silly hijinks, a personal owl of mine never really shows up, ever.

I imagine myself as being close to the other Ravenclaw boys in my year, but not interacting with the girls much beyond the occasional group-paired course project. I try to keep away from the Slytherins and the Marauders and avoid making myself a target for either group, both of which seem to be fond of hexing random people out of boredom. I don't really interact with any of the "big players" during that era (Marauders, Severus, Lily), not out of fear or "disrupting the timeline" or similar silliness (in fact I imagine myself as being completely unaware in that sense), but rather because they are in different houses, and I personally never really cared to build connections outside my house.

I imagine myself as studious theoretically, and being a huge fan of fanon-style Ancient Runes and utterly hopeless at Charms, because of a major disease in 1st year that lasted weeks, leading to me missing critical Charms foundation that I never realized the importance of. As a result, I never really "got" the subject, and tend to apply sheer brute force to it. I am decent -- not amazing but not horrible -- at other subjects, but tend to excel in theory more than practice. In terms of electives, I take Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, the latter mostly because I don't care for the other options, rather than any particular attachment to Arithmancy. I didn't take Herbology, History or Astronomy past O.W.L. Herbology because I didn't care for the subject whatsoever, History because Binns bored me to tears, and Astronomy because I didn't plan on becoming heavily involved with herbology or potions -- and the rest of the subject covers things I already knew enough about from my Muggle roots -- remember, given the age range involved here, I was 9 during the moon landing, which was huge news in the Muggle world at the time, and I had a general Astronomy interest as a kid due to this. I considered dropping Potions and Defense, but stuck with them mostly because of theoretical interest more than anything (I never had any aspirations to master either subject in a practical sense and would be content enough with an A or possibly E in my N.E.W.Ts).

My Charms O.W.L. was an utter disaster. Because I want a future in enchanting, whose 2 main subjects are fanon-style Ancient Runes and Charms, I wasn't above begging Flitwick for remedial Charms and trying to get the stupid subject to properly stick in my head.

Blood Status: Half-Blood

Wand:  Ebony wood, phoenix feather, 10 3/4" in length and rigid.

Familiar (optional): Eagle Owl named Astrid or Onyx (Owl mainly for post, otherwise i'd have a cat - or why not both? LOL)

Patronus (optional): Some kind of feline - maybe a lioness.

Animagus Form (optional): Not that I'd ever consider doing this, but I'd hope for something that can fly. A type of eagle or hawk would be perfect.

Post-Graduation: If I was to echo what I am in RL (nurse), it would be a Healer. But I really think in the magical world, I'd pursue being an Auror. I did at one point consider becoming a part of law enforcement, so this would make sense. Not only can I help catch bad wizards, I can also travel to be able to do so. Sounds exciting!

As a witch, I'd definitely attempt creating my own spells or adjusting/improving some of them. I am very daring in this regard and would do so no matter the risk as long as I know it will benefit from its success. Aiming for fame is not my thing, however.
