All right, so I gave this story a read and I like it. I liked the divergence from canon since the revelation because I hate the stories who rehash the canon despite the variables introduced in the stories.

I would really like if you highlight the similarities of Harry and Snape as you progress further in the story. Dynamic between trio and Snape is interesting and I like how Snape keeps defying the Dumbledore.

Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to read. 🙂

As far as highlighting similarities… I've done that a bit with both Harry's parents (Lily and Severus). I don't want to overdo it though, because my goal is for Severus to see Harry as his own distinct person.

So far, the progression has been Severus hating Harry due to his resemblance to James, then (after the reveal) softening toward him because he's able to see more of Lily (and elements of himself). While the latter is certainly more positive, it's not enough for true parental love. That kind of love has nothing to do with similarities or differences… it's recognizing your child for the entirety of who they are and loving them, regardless.

As for Severus defying Dumbledore, there's plenty more of that coming. 😉
