What is your Patronus?
Quote from InterwovenMadness on August 13, 2023, 3:43 amWolf!
Those who have the Wolf patronus seem to share a strong sense of justice and an innate aptitude for combat. There also seems to be a sort of natural community, as owners of the Wolf patronus seem to be generally very hospitable towards others of the same patronus. As far as personality, Wolves tend to be both brash and very passionate. From what I've seen, they have a strong tendency to let their feelings be known to those around them. As far as flaws, I have yet to see a lone wolf who is happy. That meaning, wolves thrive in a community. Loneliness, especially prolonged loneliness, could likely have a serious affect on any with a wolf patronus. -

Quote from Slay on August 13, 2023, 10:23 pmOoh looks like it's a bat
"If you have the bat as your patronus then you're most likely an extrovert among introverts! Quiet while outside your usual social circle, you shine among those who are close to you and offer a beacon of happiness, you may or may not realise this. You are emotionally stable and sure of yourself. You know who you are and stick to your own agenda. Those with a reflective and thoughtful nature are highly likely to conjure the bat. If you find yourself lost in your own thoughts and having ideas well beyond your peers capabilities then don't be surprised that the bat is your patronus. The bat is most often found in the house of Ravenclaw, particularly in those who assume a guidance role in small groups or practice as a scholar."

I was like "The hell is a Polecat" because that picture there looks like Redd from Animal Crossing I'm sorry lmao and the summoning one is horribly crusty, but those are like wild ferrets (?)
(Oh boy Draco is my patronus lol)I'm not feeling it tbh, years ago was an orca but since June that I've been back and rethinking my personal magic world to have a coherent universe in my mind and reading some of the meta articles here in the forums, came to the idea of having a mythological patronus (aka, "Manahuia" in nahuatl because now I'm an exchange student from a magic Mexican school tossed at Hufflepuff lmao [the words simply means "protector" btw]) and it being a basic feathered snake, like this but in smoky form of course
(Is it me or does it kinda has a cervid face?) I mean... I've always seen Quetzalcoatl as a deity AND a dragon species named after the ancient god so win (?) A patronus that represents my love for my heritage and whatnot
(And me having a crush on a Slytherin/Severus that isn't a bad guy... Yeah ignore this I'm overseeing things skdkdk)

Quote from Dark Angel on August 16, 2023, 4:52 pmHaha, yeah the patronus animations do look rather weird. They really could have done a better job.
I don't know what that other one is but it looks adorable! Like a dragon with feathers

That other one is a plush toy made by a Russian fellow on Etsy some years ago, a cute version of Quetzalcoatl (feathered snake deity in Mexico's prehispanic era. He was one of the 4 most important gods along with Huitzilopochtli [left-handed hummingbird], Tezcatlipoca [The smoky obsidian mirror] and Xipe-Totec [Our Lord the flayed])
So ye! Is a snake with feathers! As I mentioned, quetzalcoatl is also a species of dragons on my personal lore. But unlike the evil connotations from Europe, here in prehispanic Mexico snakes were symbols of fertility and purity, were seen as good beings that are the way they are for the hardships their have to endure as being deaf, limbless and so on, providing strength at the adversity.

Quote from Sam on September 15, 2023, 10:29 amAccording to wizardmore(dot)com/patronus-x/, my patronus is apparently a Thestral. But according to heywise(dot)com, it's a Snake. So do with that information as you will. 🙂

Quote from Nikka on October 15, 2023, 3:31 pmMy Patronus is a falcon. I definitely identify with the emotional significance behind this bird, and my name literally comes from the goddess representing speed (and victory) in Ancient Greece.
Falcons are birds of prey, considered to be the king of all birds and representing the Rising Sun in Ancient Egypt. They are the fastest birds in the world, and will chase their ambitions with fervor. Their nature can pull them to the dark, but they've chosen to live for the light, like how dawn emerges from the night.Â
Here is a lil' drawing I made of myself casting my falcon 🙂

Quote from Dark Angel on October 15, 2023, 3:55 pmThat's a nice patronus! I noticed that most of our members have a feline one so a few more birds for diversity isn't bad

Quote from Sam on October 16, 2023, 11:16 amIndeed. Even if I love cats, having a spectral one wouldn't be all that impressive. Now imagine some creepy crawly or some other dangerous creature as a patronus. Anyways, nice drawing 🙂

Quote from Ula on August 1, 2024, 9:02 amMy patronus is a Black Mare!
Not quite sure what it means, but it's really beautiful!
Tho, I'm not gonna lie, I thought it would be a dog, since that's my favourite animal, but when I remembered that it doesn't work like that - if it did, I'm pretty sure almost everyone would have the same patronus!
