So, it has been a very long time since I watched some of these movies so any comparison won't be very reliable but I chose the Sheriff because both could bond over their hatred for another person (great ground for friendship, I know) and Sinclair. The latter choice may be weird but both could sympathize with the other's feeling of betrayal. Lily started dating Snape's highschool bully and Sinclair's wife cheated on him with her own brother, not quite the same experience but close enough.
Then there's Rasputin. I actually haven't watched the movie but because I love the idea of Snape being Eastern European, whyever not? Rasputin is also believed to be immortal, who knows maybe he has some horcruxes here and there and is a wizard as well?
