What Songs Remind You of Severus Snape and/or His Relationships?
I have been busy writing a fan fic with the help of AI. I wanted to write an Evil Lily and Evil Severus but the characters didn't let me. So it ended up being a "what if?" kind of story. But there is a part where Tobias and Severus go fishing. And this song always comes to mind. An online friend introduced me to Faces, because I had recently learned about the Small Faces and... well it is a fun rabbit hole that I can write a lot about. Small Faces wasn't big in the US but they were in the 1960s UK. Faces was known here in the US and many of us older people know Rod Stewart's solo career and Ron Wood in the Rollings stones. Here is Ron Lane's single from 1973 with The Faces. I was alive but maybe in grade school.
I always imaged Severus and Lily hanging out at the park a lot. Growing up. Being teenagers. Smoking. This song Itchycoo Park reminds me of them. It is the only song by Small Faces that made it in the US. Small Faces was big in the UK 1960s. I only recently started listening to their music. Small Faces later became Faces after Steve Marriott dropped out and Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined and changed the name to Faces in the 1970s.
This song reminds me of Snily. Hanging out in the park. And also Dumbledore because it is sung by Richard Harris, who is my favorite actor who has played a visual Dumbledore. I also like Hugh Laurie voice acting in the Audible live cast version as Dumbledore. I picked the live version because for me he did remind me kind of Jude Law, who played a younger Dumbledore. I also picked what I think is a better quality of sound, but don't trust my ear, for better listening. There are so many versions of this song with different singers and different arrangements, but this is my favorite. I remember being a child and listing to it and thinking "cake in the rain?'. But the instruments, his voice and the lyrics to the song draw a strong picture.

Yeah, it's that song. Movie is alright and worth watching for romcom, and songs.
