Different compartment i.e one without James and Sirius, he's still with Lily. I would like to see how Snape's life is shaped without the start of "relentless bullying" by James Potter and Sirius Black. Even if he ends up being bullied by marauders, he won't be a "special case" in that scenario.

• What if Snape sorted into Gryffindor (So does he would room with the Mauraders. Would one of the Marauders be sorted into Slyterin instead. Which one?)

Yeah, he does room with marauders. I don't see any marauder going to the Slytherin. It'd be interesting dynamic to explore, kudos if he ends up being a marauder.

• What if Snape died in Shrieking Shack from werewolf Lupin. (I’ve read Potion's Mistress which addresses this. I was also thinking about this one.

It'd be interesting coz it'd also affect marauders alongwith Snape. I can see Lupin being expelled and possibly killed, Dumbledore removed as Headmaster, Sirius also expelled and his wand broken. James Potter could actually become his so called "mature" fanon self.

• What if Snape didn't call Lily 'mudblood' ( This is in the one I am currently working on. I wanted it to be a one shot, but James and company wanted in. And Regulus too. So it is )

There's no immediate break in friendship but still not necessarily a "happy ending" for Snape because his break with Lily was eminent due to the diverging paths they were walking, SWM just provided catalyst for it. Unless there's a serious self reflection in part of Snape, it could actually end up being worse than canon.

• What if Snape left Hogwarts after SWM for another wizarding school.( If I did this I think I know where. Influenced by another story I wrote and a Neil Diamond song.

It'd be a fun one shot, possibly a "happy ending" for Snape, where Snape gets to another school, explores magic in a healthy envelope.

Except the one I am working on now, which might have related themes and I did start it before reading this. I know they might align with your vision, but I have to go where the characters take me.

I was working on this last night with the help of AI and I am trying to keep it a one shot. I am at the point where they will first exchange words in all their 5 years in Hogwarts. Lily is going to tell him something not so kind and he will call her a filthy mudblood. It’s the 1970s. Slurs were thrown left and right. I am not saying it was okay. I am just saying it was. What they do after I am not sure. I thought I had the ending, but it is always subject to change. The characters trick me.

It is embedded in me that Snape was a special case, because Snape was friends with Lily. First because of a different house and then later because of James' interest in Lily. Not that I am saying your interpretation is wrong, but some headcanon is just ingrained in me.

This one I want to get back to. Right now the fic that I am working on does deal with the Mauraders maturing, so I don’t want to mix up plot lines. I still need to write the end (with the help of AI) and I am proof reading now. And procrastinating.

What serious self reflection do you feel Snape needs to do at this time?  He is 16 years old. My thinking is that he is a 16 year old boy thinking of 16 year old things with 16 year old boy emotions.  I would like to hear your take on it.

Ilvermorny. He would be coming to America. Insert Neil Diamond Song “America” here. I would relate this to my story “Betty No More”. I would like to make this more uplifting. And since I am more familiar with 1970s America I could do more. I would probably use the sitcom Welcome Back Kotter for inspiration and Severus' new friends.  Insert theme song for "Welcome Back Kotter here.

This fic that I am working on now became bigger than I wanted it to be, thanks to James shoving his way in. Well it was supposed to be dark. Snape and Lily were going to be evible. But they didn’t let me. So I don’t think I can do Dark Severus. I have wanted to but I am not allowed.

First Snape would want to find out why? It would be more than James belittling him. Something bigger. Darker. Let's say Peter and James knew each other before Hogwarts. Not the best of friends but did do things. Whatever wizardads do when they are young. Say Peter has a cousin, a girl who hangs out with them from time to time. Say she is a squib. She likes James. All these things happen where James and her get together one and she gets pregnant. At the same time Lily does. James marries Lily and tosses Peter’s cousin aside. She throws herself in the river.( Just listened to Pat Boon’s Moody River last night and it paints a picture in my mind) Peter found her. Peter seeks his revenge. And joins the Death Eater. Snape finds out why. And doesn’t like that Lily is involved in this plot of revenge. What will Snape do? Kill Peter or tell Dumbledore? 

 

To make something clear. I am in that percentage of writers where the characters lead. I do not light candles and summon them. I also have the gift of dyslexia where there are pros and cons. One pro  is for creativity. The brain plays movies and I see these scenes playing out and there are other things that come with dyslexia. In the 1970s I would get in trouble in school for daydreaming.
