I’ve tried my hand at writing a fic (thanks to the encouragement to @giosnape) !
I was thinking of the ideas, what Sev did when we didn’t see him on screen/ What thoughts went through his head

I think it's so satisfying when the lines are rhyming with each other

“ You should not have believed me. “

Gosh, it’s been a while since I logged in. I have new artworks to post !

I’ve been reading Hamlet for a while now, and it’s a source of infinite inspiration I feel. It’s so fascinating to read it in English as someone whose first langue isn’t this language. It’s so interesting to see how fun English was with its german like verb transformation and with the many many witty and funny metaphors~ I just simply adore it , even tho it’s a little difficult to read lmao

let me know what you think ~

ps. Happy holidays everyone ^^

Fantastic use of red for a play as bloody as Hamlet!

‘Take it… take ..it . Something more than blood was leaking from Snape. Silvery blue, neither gas nor liquid, it gushed from his mouth and ears and his eyes.’

‘…….and Harry stared back into the face that had haunted his nightmares for three years. Whiter than a skull, with wide, livid scarlet eyes, and a nose that was as flat as a snake’s, with slits for nostrils …

These are fantastic!

  1. How do you choose such vibrant colours?
  2. How do you select the prompt (in this case, the prompts appear to be quotations from the books)?

@mmlf thank you for the comments and the interest 😀

1. I always centre each of my drawings around a specific feelings / vibe, then try to convey said emotions with the colours. I’ll start with giving the background colour then I’ll try to match colour harmonies and opposite ones together. Most of the time I have a specific image in head regarding the shades together.

2. I rarely use quotes from the HP books (mainly bc I don’t like the books and don’t read them). in this case I saw these ones on tumblr and had an idea for them.
For other prompts, I like to read. A lot. And listen to music. Sometimes quotes from books or lyrics from different songs inspire me. I also browse Pinterest, where there are so many interesting photos and poses.

I hope it didn’t get too long and make sense ^^’
