Hey guys nice to meet you all
I've liked Snape since I've read the books but he became my favorite character after I started reading fanfiction 😁. I'm just really drawn to his character and I hate how misunderstood he is and how much hate people give him and his fans.
When I first got into fanfiction I was actually all about Merlin fics and I had an obsession with that for years but then I tried Harry Potter fanfic and I was hooked on Snape-centric fics and that's when he started to become my now long standing fan girl obsession 😂 probably been obsessed with him for 6 or 7 years now
I've read so many Snape fics over the years that I was starting to feel like I'd read everything that was even halfway decent and I was stuck just re-reading my favorite ones with nothing new in sight, but then I found you guys and now I've found stuff in your recommendations that I hadn't read before and I'm so excited!

if im reading a harry potter fic Snape has to be in it or i probably wont read it lol so i understand the struggle i mean i feel like i have read every good peter parker or Matt Murdock fic and it is so hard to find new good ones

I was also super into Merlin before I got into Snape. I ran a Merlin fansite called The Heart of Camelot, and I still have a ton of Merlin fanfic published on FFN and AO3. My main thing was Lancelot and Guinevere, but I wrote a bunch for other ships, too.
Which ones were you into? Did you write any fanfiction yourself?
NO WAY, another BBC Merlin disciple?
Like Heather, I was into Merlin first, though I had already read most of the Harry Potter books by that point.
I've seen people do Merlin/Harry Potter crossovers on various fanfiction sites. Did you ever read any of those?

@heatherlly I don't have any major preferences when it comes to Merlin ships but if I had to pick my favorite it would probably be Merlin and Morgana. Actually Morgana as a whole is probably my favorite, I also really liked Mordred and definitely BAMF Emrys and Magic reveals
I remember reading some of your Snape fics you wrote a long time ago and they were really, really good. Actually I was just re-reading Veritas Omnia Vincit because I didn't realize that it had updated (for some reason I forgot to subscribe to it) and that's when I saw this site was a thing and I figured I'd join.
As for me writing fanfiction myself, I've gotten ideas and started to write the beginnings of some stories but I've never had the gumption to get very far into it. I can write sort of descent but not to the standards that I want and it just ends up getting abandoned. But who knows, maybe someday I'll finally get committed to writing one
Do you primarily use FFN or AO3?
@mmlf Funny how much we have in common here 🤣 I've read some good Merlin/Harry Potter crossovers and I've also found a decent supernatural/Merlin crossover and an awesome Advengers/Merlin crossover too. I feel like so many things pair well with Merlin. It so easy since he's immortal but also time travel isn't far fetched in those universes.
