HP 'Horror' Game
I realised I haven't posted any updates here in a while...
I spent the summer plotting out the core game story. Then padding out the level structure from the the start of the game to the end where you both escape. Then added a load more environment to the first 5 areas of the game (Hermione's memories).
You go through the back of the dollhouse into a maze of wooden tunnels/rooms/stairs, that gradually becomes the dentist office where Hermione's parent's worked with different rooms branching off to the side. One has a memory in of when Hermione wiped her parents' memories. That eventually turns into a setting from Alice In Wonderland, with a bunch of 'sleeping' stone statues of the characters.
I'll add some fake 'food' items (and obviously a teapot) on the table to taunt Hermione. But then an apple or something that she can actually eat. So she knows that she won't necessarily starve to death while trapped there.
