Summary:
In the aftermath of Quirrell, first-year Harry discovers some unusual guardians living beneath Hogwarts' west wing. Unfortunately, Professor Snape keeps stumbling into his secrets and gradually uncovers more about Privet Drive than either of them is comfortable with.
A sassy snake and a cat named Cake cause their paths to cross far more often than either would like, while a conspiring headmaster expects Severus to gain Harry's trust before the summer holidays begin.
