Movies and Series (Past, Present and Future)
I didn't see a post that was just movies and series. I only saw the one:What are you currently reading, watching and listening to. And since this is a post of something I am not currently watching, but plan on watching I made a new one.
This post was inspired by one that I hope to watch, but I think I need MGM to stream it. My favorite Dicken's novel has been made into a series again. I know many people say "It has already been made, why do it again". Where do you stand on re-makes?
The movie I am talking about is the new Tale of Two Cities:

Another one of my favorite modern classics is getting another series adaption. It is going to be on Netflix. It is John Steinbeck's East of Eden. There have been two other adaptations that I know of and I have seen. The first one is a 1955 movie with James Dean. The movie covers the second part of the book only. There was also a mini-series in the 1980s with Jane Seymour, which covers the entire novel. I enjoyed them both and I would recommend both versions and also the book. Has anyone watched these movies or read the book? Have you read any of John Steinbeck's books? My favorite character is Cal Trask. For some reason I found his character interesting when I first watched the miniseries in the 80s. (If you Google Cal Trask and Severs Snape you can see how some people compare the two). I have no high or low expectations for the new version. I don't subscribe to Netflix, but I will wait until the reviews. I still have not watched the new version of Wuthering Heights. The more I hear about it the more I don't want to watch it. I hear there is no Hindley. How can there be a Wuthering Heights without Hindley? And if there is no Hindley for sure there isn't Hareton, who is my favorite character.
