I write this fanfic after i Realized child snape is should not be hated based on his adult life. No one is born a monster. We humans capable of cruelty and kindness, and we can strive to be better if we have kindness we got from other humans,either is from a friend,or from Adult Who sincerely Love you.
Chapter 1: A Living Bread
Summer 1968,Spinners end. Snape House
" Its empty again" Severus sighed while he opened up the food tent
"Hey,Eileen! Trying you freakish trick again!! There is hungry man in this house who need food!!!" Yelled tobias from his sitting position.tobias is all but is embodiment of poverty. Skinny,half a bald,and have cold brown eyes. He yelled from sagging sofa in middle of the dusty living room
The door clicked and Eileen snape came out of main bed room.
She is skinny woman with raven hair fall to the back and her eyes sunken but she didnt want to cower now. She reply coldly "how many i must told you Tobias? Magic cannot duplicate food. That's the law of the Gamp"
"Then trying it again!!!" He insisted,Spatted.
"I cannot!!"
They row and row . Severus slipped from their view and walked out of house. He didnt need them,Ge will find food on his own way

The road He walked continue to less dust and have good painted wall. Severus then reached his destination. The Mr Bale potato merchant.
Mr Bale which is tall and have round belly with cold brown eyes and black short hair,unluckily came out of the shop of wrong time. He see Severus walked toward him.
His face shown disgust. That was make sense. When severus is shown in near his shop,there are loss 2 or 3 potato. Even thought it was small loss. Stealing still stealing.
"Oi kid.do you hear me? I dont want to see your face ever again after i caught you stealing once. You understand? "
Severus nooded.
Then severus moving to next target,the Wilson bakery far from apple seller near end of road. This bakery situation yesterday is not too crowded, he slipped past to the back of bakery,to place he know there are bread. The trashcan
The owner of Wilson actually see severus who took bread often from trash can . But he didnt say anything about it. He just dropped the bread to trash can after bread is already displayed one day. Fresh from the oven,the motto of bakery.
Severus then took from two baguetta from trashcan. Luckily owner always use plastic to not let bread touch trashcan. Oftenly he just go to the trashcan and his stomach is full for the day.
Severus then sit in near trashcan,eating the bread greedily from trashcan. At least his stomach will full for a day
At least he know there is one muggle scum that know how to not forbidden him to eat.
After eat, he then on his walk back to riverbank. It was his favourite place,to just lay down at the lawn and enjoy the sun while he using his mom blouse. No one is near him and no one is mocking him. Only Peace
Severus bypass the playground when he hear shouting of girl
"Lily,dont do it!!"
He suprised at the sound. The Playground only have 2 child. The child was blonde hair and the younger with dark red hair. The dark red hair girl throw herself into air,her expression show happines and freedom.....
She then landed happily, and took her sister arm and then say "okay then,i am hungry,lets go back home Tuney"
Tuney then just hummed and then they walked home.
There is no way.......
Is she a witch too.....?
But why her sister told her to not do it? As long as there is no witnesses,they can use magic how much they wanted......
Unless off course. she was muggleborn.....
For some reason,Severus face that always scowl turned into smile. Finally found a peace that he was not only magical children in this infested muggle town.

The Evans House
The living room felt quiet after dinner is served and all of dishes is clean. Petunia is go back to her room and Lily sit down in dinner tabble. Her face in the table. Sulking.
"I miss dady, Mum" lamented Lily
"Me too sweetheart" answered Photinia evans,while cleaning the stove.
Photinia Evans She was perfect embodiment of beauty. Even in his 40 year of age she was still mistaken as 29 years old. She has thick dark hair,a long nose and blue eyes like her daughter petunia.
"When will daddy back home?" Asked Lily
"6 month later,sweet heart"
"Too long!!"
"I Know" said Photinia with her eyes down
Clock keep ticking,the sound felt heavy to lily heart
Photinia then clean her hand then touch Lily head gently "your father need to regain his soul for living.we must support him"
"Living? But he is alive right now!!"
"Yes,lilyflower,but i would told you when you are old enough,it was very long story"
"Okay" Lily smiled. Her mother always to be kind to her children,even when they become prat
"And Tuney told us you jump out of swing again"
Lily pouted again and look sideway "its just playing mom"
"Yes,but its dangerous,lily. I dont want you to get hurt. We didnt know if hurting like Eze again"
Lily grimace.that was time when Ezekiel, the children near the house trying to swing like lily and ended up being broken leg. Her father is so anggry about it that he grounded Lily for 2 month to never play.
"Just please dont do recklessly sweetheart. We didnt know what happened to you. Hope we find the cure" said Photinia. Her face show worriedly
"I am Not sick!!" Lily spat
"Yes,but we must make sure you are safe..thats all"
Lily then give little voice and then nodded. She then watched her mom clean rest of the house
"Mom,can i sleep in your bedroom today" asked lily suddenly,after seeing Photinia open the door to her bedroom
Photinia turned around and smiled "Off course sweet heart"
Lily grinned. She will not let her mother sleep alone again tonight.

The Playground,Near spinners End
"I know who you are....." Severus breathing hard. Appear behind the bushes
"You ,you are a witch......" confessed Severus
Lily then show dislike face "thats was not nice thing to say to somebody!"
"No! My mum is witch. I am wizard too. I can show you" Offered Severus
"Wizard!!!" Petunia screamed, cannot contain her laughing. "I know who you are, you are the Snape boy from spinners end. The one who eat from trash can!!"
The flashes of hurt is shown into Severus face. He thought people didnt know. It actually gossip around town
"C'mon Lily,lets go out of him" offered Petunia,quickly Grabbing Lily hand. She didn't want to associate with "unnormal" people.
Lily then only look at severus then focus his gaze on Petunia back. Let herself being led by Petunia hold her hand steadily
Severus can only see Lily go away. Hurt that his trying to not be alone failed miserably.
He then going Back to riverbank. Just enjoy the sunlight alone is already a sanctuary for him needed for this day. At least the sun will never yell or whipped Severus. He just need to endure until hogwarts letter
Severus, never know tommorow is the day that beginning friendship of livetime, that he will cherished for rest of his life

Here are two quick things you could do to improve your chapter:
- Could you use a capital letter for every name that you use? For example, 'Eileen', instead of 'eileen'.
- Could you use a full stop after every sentence, unless you're using a question or exclamation mark?
This will make things so much clearer to read!
I will also make a post elsewhere about verb tenses, so that we can get those fixed.

Chapter 2: The Living Water
"Today I can't play Lily." Said Petunia Ignoring her sister, while Petunia Sitting in her study chair of her bedroom, reading history school book.
"Why not?" Said Lily while standing in front of petunia room with door Open
Petunia still didnt looked back "there are summer homeworks I need to do" her tone felt cold
Lily just folded her hand and then looked away
"Okay, fine. I will not play. I will at Riverbank near Old Tree." Said lily
"See you tuney!!" Said lily cheerfuly
As she passed through living room,lily read the notes in back of the front door
"Love....."
"I am still worked at saloon. I will pick you up either in river bank or playground at 5 pm
Ps: Don't using the weird thing that causing harm."
Lily then hummed,then happily got out of home. Her blue dress that reached to ankle is bellowing gently
Lily walked past the playground. The sun felt hot in her pale skin. There are little kid playing in play ground. The voice is cheerfuly in background but lily passed them. She didnt need to play. Right now green grass near river bank with few tree is place she want to seat and enjoy the riverview.
She then found him. A Snape boy from spinner. His ridiculous coat is neated besides him. His raven greasy hair obscuring his face that is fully focused on the book.
Slowly she reaching the boy from behind. Trying to not make a sound.The boy still didnt look up at All,completely focused on the book
"What are you reading?" Lily asked. After close enough to his face.
Severus flinched, his shoulders jerking. Lily chuckled "why he must flinched? She will not eat him anyway." said lily silently in her heart,felt amused
Lily sat down on his left without caring if Snape boy wanted personal space, a warm smile breaking across her face as she extended her small hand. "My name is Lily. What's your name?"
"Severus. Severus Snape," he answered, his voice stiff with caution. He still didn't expect her to want to speak with him after what happened.
"Hello, Severus," Lily beamed with delight. Severus felt a sudden blush creeping up his cheek at the sound of his own name on her lips.
"I am sorry about my sister," Lily continued, rolling her bright green eyes. "She can be really mean to people from outside our neigbors. Even though Daddy always told her to be kind to every kid."
Severus's blush deepened, but his heart eased. "It's okay... as long as she isn't here."
Lily giggled.
For a moment, they just stared at each other. Severus was completely amazed by her eyes—they were a green so vibrant that it felt alive.
"Severus," she said softly, letting her curiosity to win. "I want to know, why.... did you call me a witch?" Asked lily with doubt in her voice
"Because you are," Severus said, as he tried to convinced her.
"There are humans in this world who can do magic. I know because I am a wizard, too." Said severus convinced so deeply about "the wizard thing"
"Prove it then." Said Lily
"What?"
"Prove you're a wizard." Said Lily asking to be convinced
Severus stared at her for a second, then quietly handed her the heavy book in his lap. "Read it. Open it to page 245."
Lily opened the page and gasped. In front of her was a beautiful castle nestled beside a vast lake, but the pictures weren't static. The little boats on the water were moving, gliding across the surface like a cinema film right on the paper!
"Whooaah!" she breathed, her face lighting up. There was no mundane explanation for this. Even Houdini's grandest shows couldn't make a book come alive like this. Turning the pages, she saw figures flying on broomsticks past three tall goalposts—just like the witches from her dad's bedtime stories—and a tiny golden ball with wings zipping fast across the margins under the title The Golden Snitch.
Suddenly, many leaves from nearest tree flying in into thin air, the leaves flying like butterfly, dancing in circle around the two of them. Lily looked up from the book, her attention snapping back to Severus. His usual scowl had vanished, replaced by a genuine, soft smile.
She knew instantly it was him. Lily laughed happily, completely delighted that her very first magical friend had just shown her a world she never knew existed until today.

"Really,there is one boy that trying to do what you do in swing and he was gotten broken leg?" Asked Severus,a little smile in his face.
"Yes,severus."
"Merlin,and i thought muggle can be more idiot" severus laughing,upsetting lily little bit
"What is muggle?" asked lily confused
"a person who cannot do magic. We wizard call them muggle"
"But my parent cannot do magic"
"Yes,for a witches that born from non magical parent, the wizarding world call them muggleborn" severus answered flatly
"And you?"
"Iam halfblood,my mother is pureblood witch. My dad is muggle, thought." There is a little bit of venom in his voice.
"Does it make difference being muggleborn?"" She asked with show little bit of worry
Snape hesitated,he did not want to reveals ugly truth to the first friend he ever make.
But Lily apologizing for Petunia mockery. At least She must know the truth. He will not be a coward like tobias. A Deep, Cruel sound echoing into Severus mind,a sound He hear one week ago.......
"What do you mean tobias,you didnt bring money home?. You said you will be accepted into that restaurant as Cleaner next week."
Asked Eileen coldly while she standing in living room while severus choose to seat in dinner table while he reading history of magic book in afternoon
"Shut it Witch!! Turns out , that owner, which is women,is hating me. She said she cannot accepted the one who is smelling alcohol before interview!!" Said Tobias With red face of anger
"But you said you will stop drinking at night for getting bigger chance of acceptance for tommorow. Why are you lying?" Asked Eileen with sad face
Tobias forward then slapped eileen. The sound of slap felt like hammer to Severus chest.
"Silence!! I will not talked like that!!!.A Freak who cannot Duplicate food or money for your own family!!"
"Then you are Coward! A man who always lied to his family!!"
"Why you little ...."
Severus then running panicly to his bedroom upstairs. Slammed the door shut
, sitting in the floor while keep shutting his ear

Severus then seeing lily bright green eyes,his face full of conviction.
"To me you are not" Severus answered . "But it doesn't mean everyone. There are many wizard who think just because you were born from muggle,you dont deserved to use magic"
"But it's foolish,I cannot choose who is my parents are!!"
"Exactly" severus smiled
She then rely her head to severus shoulder. Severus blushed. Did she didnt smell him as mothball? Yet it was first time someone rely his head on shoulder.
"Severus......." lily still looked at the river
"Yeah?" Severus lips turned into kind smile
"Please explain about the castle"
"Well,the castle is hogwarts." Answered severus with excited voice "The magical school we will attend. They are in scotland. It wad built by........"
And severus talked and talked about hogwarts. Lily listening while she still rely on severus shoulder. he explained all and all about magical world she never know it exist with his girly and silk voice,from a new friend she met.

It's been two weeks later after their second met when Lily asked the question she have in her mind......
How can you do that?" Asked Lily with severus while sit cross leggedly facing each other, with her backfacing river.
"Do What?"
Lily asked again "The leaves that flying like butterfly. I wanted to do that,please teach me"
Severus smiled in return "actually,the tree gave me chance to do it"
Lily just looked fascinated at Severus reveals . Snape standing up while he touched the willow tree
"This Tree is actually magical tree,Lily. It responded to whoever witch or wizard that wanted to show magic"
"Really?"
Severus nooded with sad smile "Yes,My Mum told me once. That's why she sometimes visited this tree after she married her husband before borne me. Where it was reminded her of Magical root." He keep staring at the tree,ignoring lily happy look
"Can I make too?"
"Sure go ahead,just wish "I wish your leaves flying like butterfly"
Lily then touched the Tree with her left hand while muttered in her heart "I wish your leaves flying like butterfly"
A tree leaves then spreading into thin air in front of them. Flying like butterfly towards river.
Lily then laughing happily,severus smiled in return.
"My Mum once make this leaves flying like this once." He looked at the tree besides lily, " I am still remember it. Dad still busy at work and Mum visited the tree with me. It was only time I remembered She ever showing happy face"
"but then I am showing accidental magic and she is not visit this tree any longer"
"Why?"
Severus then looking down "She said "that tree reminded me of place I cannot approach anymore"
Lily have look of sympahty without severus noticing it
"I wish your mum and dad as warm as Me ,you know"
"Your Dad?"
Lily nooded
"What is your dad Liked then? " asked severus curious"
"Well,He always liked fixing things,reading book with title of -Bible-,visiting grandma smith and grandpa jones,ohh, and Brown Family too.
And giving lecture oftenly sunday morning in the church"
Lily continued "But he cannot do that now because he is leaving home right now"
"Your father go away?"
" Yes,he was already leaving for 1 month. I miss him" lily muttering ,she then choose to sit crossleggedly while facing the river, her chin is in the knee
Severus then choose to walked near river and throw peeble to river. The stone jump from water few times before sinking.
"Did you mum told you why your Dad go?" Severus asked while didnt look back, while continued to throw pebble, trying to skipping it across river.
"She say she need to regain his soul. I didnt know what that means" hugging her knee,sadness felt her eyes
Severus then skipping stone again. After there are no stones,he then go back to sit next to lily
"Did your father is in home,Severus?"
Little creased appeared in his face
"Yes"
"You said he didnt like anything much. What He liked, then?" Asked Lily.
"Alcohol, cigarette, sleep, cane,meat" Severus sheepishly answered
"Cane? You mean cane that the taste sweet?"
"Yup" severus lied flawlessly. His face still seeing the river
Both of them just staring river. Enjoying the silence. then severus suddenly got Up " There are something I need to show you" . He show leaves from magicless tree and hold lt in his bothh palm
Lily just looked at curiously. Expect it to dissapeared like houdini show
Severus opened his palm,the leave have two wings and flying toward river
Lily mouth just agaped
"How did you do that sev? It was not from Willow tree"
Severus smiled "I am actually practicing it many times. Mum said wizards doing stage show in ancient times to makes living. Well, this is one of the tricks,she said."
"Really? I wanted to do that Sev! Please Sev teached Me. I want to do magic!" Lily said excitedly
" It needs time,Lily. But I am sure you will gonna succeded"
"Okay,Sev. Lets train" Lily giggled
Lily really liked her new friend. She have Petunia and Eze. But Ezekiel is afraid to play with her after one disaster. Severus is closest male friend that exist for her alone.
Severus chuckled. For two week, Lily presence is like sunshine in his heart. He didnt know He can felt this way. The feelings that you dont need to be alone in this world

How is your life in japan? I miss you so much. I hope you return as fast as you can.
I am actually want you to know I have a best friend now. Maybe the bestest friend in the world. His name was severus. I call him Sev. He was like me,he can do things that cannot be outside children. He can move the leave like butterfly!! . We talked about magic everyday. To wait for The world beyond the wardrobe that full of magical creature and being. World full of magic that you often read to me as bedtime stories......
I am sending you this postcard as proof of existence wizarding world. Its actually very difficult to convincing Sev to given it. But I needed that postcard,to show you i am not sick, but I am normal like other magical children. That there exist a world Full of Magic awaiting Me.

Live in nagasaki is actually not very hard,love. Yes, Japanese language is very difficult for foreigner. The textbook and the real world japanese is dfiferent. When i trying speak japanese,they then speak in japanese "arigato" and switched to english with tone that make me didnt understand the english at all!!. I know japanese people was very understanding of me and they appreciate someone whose trying very hard to learn their language.
I am still searching the clue in nagasaki. I think I cannot go home before I found what i've been looking for. But I will try my best. If I didn't regain it, then perhaps it was destiny,but I will spending all my visa time left in japan to searching it.

Its already been beginning of February 1969 and petunia already cannot hold it anymore
Even after what snape boy did to petunia during petunia accidentaly snooping them (he hitting her with branch on tree ,For God Sake!),Lily continued to visit him often. They always talked about Hogwarts, Fantastic magical creature, Dementor, The ministry rule, and Wand. And they often adventure in little forest near their house....
Afternoon soon turned into night. Petunia watching the telly while the one who in her mind come home. Well, speak of the Devil.....
"I am home!!!"
green jacket that lily wearing already stained by dirt and black tights that have grass all over it. It looks like She is came from forest.... again.
"Lady, bath first before we eat dinner" Photinia still cooking the stew for dinner, ordering without looking back at Lily. Lily just nooded and choose to bath at her parent bathroom
The three of them then ate dinner ,lily cheerful expression make a knot in her petunia stomach. Petunia already done with her food. She didnt wanted to see lily cheerful face tonight.
"What is it Love? You look so happy today" asked photinia curiously
"Because We finally *gulp* knew what is the end of little forest that near our house,Mum!.*munch munch* We finally reached the end of the forest, the river!" Said lily while still munching the meat
Photinia then took napkin and wiped lily lips.
"Yes,You can talk,but please after you done with your munching. Okay,Honey?"
Lily only giggled as response
"Do you go alone? I knew you are not type who wanted to adventure alone. Who are going to forest with you?"
"With that snape boy,off course" venomous tone is spit out of petunia lips.
Lily cheerful face then dissapeared at instant
"What is it petunia?" Asked photinia softly
"Lily oftenly talked and hanging out with Snape boy when She is out of the school!. He is freak mommy!! Did you knew that Snape Boy used to eat at Trash can? All of my friends talked about it! -Looked,that Snape boy is walking again!- They laughed when they sees Him in lisa Car!
Photinia then took petunia shoulder softly,who sit besides Her
"Tuney....." said her Mum with gentle voice
"Please be kind to him. That Tobias Snape is known for drinking while working and moving from other worksplace to worksplace. That Snape Boy didnt wanted to have that drunkard as a Father"
"But He is freak,Mommy!! Just like Lily!!" Shouted petunia
"A Freak? You mean that Snape Boy can use "harmful thing?" Asked photinia anxiously
"It was magic Mum" said Lily firmly in return.
"Severus already show me He can do stuff like Me. Perhaps if He can relented giving old magic school postcard from his mum like once I show to my dad,You will knew I am not a freak" Hissed Lily
Photinia sighed.
"Lily,If You said was true,then perhaps you can send it to your father first? Your father is the one most scared about "that thing" more than me. He said that one of the biggest mysteries of his life, is why you can fly from swing yet didnt got broken leg"
"I already have Mum"
"Really? And what his response?"
"He said he is finally glad that I am not sick,That I am normal like other magical children in Britain"
Photinia just shook her head in return,if Andrew supporting Lily, then the mother role must be be supporting their children in their path, like her husband.
"Petunia"
Photinia and Tuney still sit at dinner chair. Photinia face is gentle yet firm
"Your Dad always told you to be kind to every children even if it was from Browns family or even Snape family. Why you didnt do what He wanted from you?"
Petunia then choose stand up and shouted "Because they are FREAKS!!,NOT NORMAL LIKE US!!!" She then running upstairs and slammed her room door harshly.
Photinia just sighed then look at Lily softly
"And Lily, please be always kind to that Boy. Maybe sometimes you can asked him to eat dinner with Us?"
"Yes mummy" said Lily wit cheerful smile on her face

River Bank next Day......
Severus doing what he always Do. Skipping rocks. He always wanted to reach that other bank without doing magic. It was challenge that fun for him, said him to Lily once.
Much more than staying at home,anyway....
Lily only looked gloomy While watching Severus. She rest her chin to her knee. Didnt trying to talked about magic or hogwarts as usually she doing.
"Why you looks so gloomy today, Lily?" Asked Severus while he stop skipping stones.
"Petunia didnt wanted me and you to be friends"
"What!?"
"She said You are freak because you are eating from trash can"
Severus face turned into Red. That muggle is always Bring that up!! Did she knew there are days when he cannot eat? Because Tobias cannot find work?
"Sev...."
Severus then looked at sad face of Lily
" I dont care what Petunia saying. You are my best friend. And I think Petunia is wrong for hating you"
Severus red anger face then turned back to normal colour. His expression then becoming calm.
-Well,then, Let Muggle Harpy saying whatever She wanted!. As Long as I have Lily,everything will be Okay!. I can endure it! It was just two years,and he and lily will escape from Muggle Hometown!-
He just need to endured. Like he always do before he have lily as bestfriend

"Next month, huh?"
"Yeah, next month. I can't wait for Daddy to come back," Lily giggled.
Severus chose to remain silent. They walked toward the playground, and Lily asked Severus to walk her home because her mum couldn't pick her up, or so she said.
His first meeting with Lily’s mum was awkward. He answered her questions with short replies, without bothering to look at her face. Yet, what curiously bothered Severus was: Why is she still smiling softly when I won't even look at her? It didn't make sense...
Suddenly, a middle-aged man in a white shirt and black jeans approached them. He wore square glasses, had slicked-back blonde hair, and his eyes were a bright, vibrant green, like.....
Lily stopped dead in her tracks, her lips parted in shock, her eyes glued to the man approaching.
"Daddy!!!"
Lily ran, crying tears of joy. Her green dress billowed as she sprinted with all her might. She almost tripped, but she didn't care. Finally, her arms wrapped tightly around his waist.
"I'm back, love," Andrew smiled, his right hand gently ruffling Lily's hair. He picked her up and kissed her cheek, drawing a happy giggle in response.
"Look at you," he chuckled, shaking his head lightly. "Did you grow taller?"
"Two and a half centimeters!" Lily said excitedly.
He set her down, then turned his gaze to the greasy-haired boy standing nearby.
"Daddy, looks. That's Sev."
"Sev, isn't it?" Andrew said softly. He walked slowly toward Severus and reached out to take Lily’s left hand.
Severus flinched, his expression tightening. He was no coward; if Andrew thought he could make him cower by shouting, "Don’t be near my daughter!" like other parents always did, Severus was ready to spit right back in his face.
Instead, Andrew's face softened into a smile.
"Lily talked all about you in the letters she sent me. She says you're the best friend she's ever had in the entire world."
"Daddy!" Lily blushed fiercely.
"It's nothing, because Lily is my friend," Severus muttered, looking away, though a clear blush crept across his cheeks. He braced himself for the inevitable blow, waiting for the cruelty.....
"I'm glad you're her best friend, Severus."
Severus knitted his eyebrows together, his face a mask of full suspicion. Why isn't this man looking at me with contempt? It doesn't make any sense.
"Well, I need to head back now. It's past curfew. Lily, don't pout. Night is coming, sweetheart...."
"But I want to stay with Sev longer! Can't it be longer?" Lily pouted, tears pooling in her eyes
again. Severus felt his face heat up even more.
