Put in Absol as dark type in team, it has slashing moves so represents his dark arts and sectumsempra. It is often a misunderstood Pokemon as it is labelled disaster Pokemon so it fits Snape.
Serperior's an excellent pick, and I just read up on Absol and yeah, that's perfect.
All he needs now is a pokemon representative of his name 'dungeon bat' so some bat like Pokemon. Suggestions include Crobat, Noivern, Lunala, Swoobat, Gliscor..
I'm stuck between Noivern's Telepathy, Crobat's Infiltrator, and Gliscor's Poison Heal
I think Alakazam covers Telepathy so we don't need it.
Crobat certainly ranks high for me, it is poison type so it fits with potions master, infiltrator fits Snape's character.
Noivern also has Infiltrator, it is intimidating as a dragon type and captures Snape's impression.
Gliscor is among my favourites and it provides coverage. I think he fits least because it heals from poisons and Snape died to poison.

I agree with Noivern. I think about replacing Deerling with Virizion. Virizion is a legendary like his patronus and represents his doe better than Deerling. It's ability Justified also represents patronus ability to repel dark.
