How's Your Writing Going Today?
I am writing stories of my first fanfic with style writing random chapter. I have already make first chapter,and epilogue. For final battle it was still not written it (yet) because it will be different,it was bigget than batle of hogwarts in scale. Because in my fic voldemort is more competent and scary. He is more like dictator we see in real life(because i view voldemort is too cartoonish and sooner or later he will stabbed in the back) voldemort in my fic that is bigger threat to wizarding world,i mean,really wizarding world.
I am writing hogwarts year for year 1-7,but the conflict will be heavy in year 5-7. War year is year where i have not many plot,yet have many battle scene.
So yeah,hope i can release chapter soon
@giftfromwanderland It's great that you are writing fanfiction. Do you have any other details concerning what happens in your story? For example, what causes the battle?
The causes of the final battle will be the prophecy,but it was not prophecy of chosen one. Because i hate the chosen one trope(harry defeating voldy or severus defeating voldy). It completely diminishing the stake of story.
I cannot spoils much but Like,it was really different ending compared to original ending of Deathly hallows.
The first plot is severus and lily friendship. It will contain story of their friendship and severus temptation to join death eater. How their relationship is become tragedy(you wish,jily shipper)
There will be second plot of My OC,My OC will be important in plot. I always wanted the character that will appear in harry potter book but it never exist,so i think i will make the character that represent the ideal.
Third plot will be severus brotherhood with Canon character. He/she is exist in harry potter book and i felt he/she is will be very different character had he/she got other influence,and have similar thing in severus character that i know he/she can bond off
I am still struggling within very big arc of hogwarts days. But It was needed for foundation of war arc and final battle arc.
I am still not publishing it to ffn or AO3 because i still need a plot for year 3-4. And i am someone that will not write 100 chapter and then stop it. I know my fanfic will be very long but i think if i am not starting the chapter at childhood of severus,it will not having foundation for hogwarts year. Severus in canon join death eater because he didnt have someone that loved him other than lily evans. So i think the year before hogwarts is really important part of his childhood before he is bullied and got temptation to join death eater.
And the challenge I actually met ,unexpectedly,is how you writing Child and Teenage Lily. I mean lily will be second protagonist of the series, yet we knew very little about Her. Slughorn talked lily as Vivacious yet charming girl that not scared as talked cheekily to professor she respected and loved.
And when I trying to research what character can I use that as basis of lily evans,I then reminded of Gakuen Alice manga and reading again of mikan sakura. Mikan is bullied and hating by all of clasmates,yet she is cheerful optimistic and loving outsider. Mikan is very strong not in Strength or magic,but From her heart that choose to always standing up when everyone else is giving up. Mikan capable of making a bully turned into loyal friend. So I think I will trying to borrow mikan personality to lily evans character. Off course not all of them, because lily is her own person. But charming personality of Mikan will be shown toward lily character
