Thoughts on Fanfiction Sites

I’ve also uploaded a fanfiction story to FFN myself, and it’s always acting up for me, too. I hope I can help you—you just have to be patient.
When I want to upload a new chapter, I enter my label as usual. Then I check the “Copy-N-Paste” box and paste the text I copied from Word there. When I click “Submit Document,” I often see a red message saying it can’t be uploaded. (Processing Error: Unfortunately, we are unable to process the document you have submitted.) But I’m persistent—I just keep clicking “Submit Document” over and over again. It’s a bit annoying, but sometimes after the 5th try, or even after the 10th, my chapter finally uploads. It can take more than 10 tries, but eventually it gets uploaded.
I’m not familiar with the new FFN myself.

Thanks. As long as it is not only me. I have my old stuff from years ago. I tried finding new FFnet the other day and got and it wasn't there or something. It is like "Now you see it, Now You don't". Maybe it was user error. I saw it today, but I'm in no mood to trouble shoot.
I know most of us use Archive of Our Own. So FYI.

Oh dear, that's a long time. I got a bad scare that a favorite fic would dissappear when another site was down, and decided to save a few selected fics I often return to. Just for personal use, as I really don't want to lose them... But I didn't consider getting any from AO3 as it is a major site... But perhaps it wouldn't hurt during long maintenance breaks. Besides, you never know if a writer suddenly decide to remove all their works.

That's true in both cases. I am not sure why they are down. I just saw this article:
Here is an update from AO3 saying if the password you use for AO3 is used in any of your other accounts, you should change it.
