Yep,and james fans told us that James adultness is not 180 degree and you expect great change into adulthood from teenagers.
But prequel told us otherwise,they still did not grown into responsible adult that can see what they wronged. They destroying muggle police car and scaring muggle police while they fighting death eater. And off course they dont talked to lily about it. To me,Lily is like harry who seen goodness on people considered to be grey,and I dont blame her.
They are still age of college student but In WW2,I realized many people same age as sirius and james didn't have same mindset. They still have Fiery fire to fight in front line,but as they served in the war,they dont see it as grand adventure, But as Their serving time for Family,And for the world. They never cared about Having fun in the war.
So I think james and sirius is Bad example when defines for Heroes. A million of young adult in WW2 is much more honorable than james potter and sirius black
