Deleted thread?

I had a thread on here where I was posting updates for my game. I went to add another update about two minutes ago and it didn't attach the image correctly, so I deleted the post. But it's somehow deleted the entire thread (at least I can't find it any more and the link just goes back to the main forum page).
Ah dang, so basically when you make a new post, that post counts as the entire thread to which other people can reply to, so when you deleted the first post, it deleted the entire thread. When updating the original post, you should never hit that delete button.
This wasn't the first/original post, it was just the latest post I was adding to the thread.
Unless you deleted the first post, there's no reason the whole thread should have been deleted. Are you absolutely sure that's not what you did?
I mean, I clicked reply and the new post screen came up, I typed stuff and clicked the image icon, selected the image from my pc and clicked Submit. But it didn't add the image, so I clicked delete on the same page I was on (I didn't scroll back to the original post) and the whole thing disappeared.
The only thing I can think is that the page was still stuck in loading or something when I clicked the button. I don't know otherwise. But if it can't be undeleted, then fair enough. It is what it is.
