Poll: Favorite Snape Pairings?

I completely agree with what you've said, I don't see him shipped with any canan character and at the same time, like him being not dependent upon other person for his happiness.
Ultimately my favourite ship is actually Snape/Happiness, no matter the way he gets it.

I am a diehard Snily fan - they are my OTP. However, I recently read The Syntax of Things by Arrisha on AO3, and it completely blew my mind. I never liked the Snarry pairing but this story - oh, the tragedy!! Has anyone on here read it? It may be one of my favorite fics ever.

Severus Snape/Lily Evans
I kinda prefer it to be one-sided, but it’s actually great in all forms and shapes. Love it.
Severus Snape/Lucius Malfoy
Both in the angsty and dysfunctional way or in the “they’re friends. WITH BENEFITS” way, I dig it. Bonus points for how Snape's role as a spy messes things up.
Severus Snape/Remus Lupin
My OTP, I guess. The scene where Snape brings the Wolfsbane to Lupin AND the bit where we discover he severed George’s ear while trying to save Lupin have rewired my brain. I love them the most when they go enemies to lovers/lovers to enemies/enemies to friends/friends to lovers/etc. They’d clearly have a complicated relationship and I’m all for it.
Severus Snape/Sirius Black
This one’s an enemy to enemy for me. Nothing ever changes, they still have a fling. It ends badly. It’s awesome.
I forgot to vote for "others", but special mention for Severus Snape/Narcissa Malfoy (sad and tender, I love it).
Noticed the "choose as many as you like" too late so I only voted for Severus/Hermione which I harped on about enough in another thread. 😂
But had I noticed the addition before my nervous finger clicked the send button, I would have also chosen Severus/Sirius because it's just so messed up! Best hate-sex couple ever, they are the direct opposite of Snamione for me. I love it.
Severus/Luna can be interesting as well though I don't actively search for stories with that pairing. But I've written a oneshot and she has the potential to baffle him so much that it changes him as a character. Really fascinating.
And I would have chosen other pairing because I recently developed a thing for Severus/Ron. Initially, Ron was only planned to be a side character in a smut story with Hermione and Severus but then Severus kissed him and my brain didn't stop thinking about them ever since. So I wrote more stories for that plot and they became my OT3, I guess. 😅
Seems like I have a thing for age gaps... huh.

On that note, you should check out our latest series of writing challenges. I haven't gotten to Ron yet, but I think he's coming up this weekend.

It was quite unexpected for me as well but it's really fun! Ron is a great character to get some lightness into the relationship and he's adorably awkward. Plus Severus has finally someone to play Chess with. 😁 As a threesome, Severus, Hermione and Ron complement each other astonishingly well. For me, at least. ^^
And regarding the challenge: I saved the prompt I got for Severus and Petunia, I'm just not sure if I'll get around to writing something for it. But I am tempted, it's a good one... 😏
For me, it's Severus/Others. Slash isn't my cup of tea and I have been jaded by the female pairings mentioned above. The most important thing for me is Severus being paired with happiness, which is practically non-existent. Aside from that, I have enjoyed a few Severus/Bellatrix, Severus/Narcissa (without the Lucius part) and OC's.
My favourite pairing is lily x Snape as well and that's because there is lot to them then meets the eye. I mean if we try to look from the critical angel it is actually very obvious that they do have many similarities. The both are highly intelligent though I think Snape intellectual is more analytical and creative while lily is more intuitive and social.
They are both deeply determined individuals.
They are both very brave. They both also interestingly possess mixture of moral and emotional bravery which James bravery is more physical.
They both have a deep capacity to love.
They are both brutally honest.
There intellectual interests seems to be similar as well.
It's interesting to note that the first four books highlight James and lily relationship while Snape and lily relationship is highlighted in the last three books.
They are both selfless. They even seem have similar witty nature.
Lily did compare going out with James to a giant squid. I think that's what she said.
The doe patronus doesn't just highlight Snape love for lily but also the similarities they possess at the core.
Even their introverted and extroverted natures being balance to the table.
In many ways they could been complimentary fit. Jk Rowling wasn't joking when she said that lily could have fallen in love with Snape.
Even their names have small connections.
Severus=harsh
Lily=purity.
It's very symbolic to their connection.
The prince tale highlights their connection as being solidarity, mature, close yet darker then other connections in the series.
I felt since a long time they had a more mature connection in comparison to other character in the series.
