Round Robins: Official Rules/Questions/Info

What Is a Round Robin?

A Round Robin is a story with multiple authors. Each author takes turns adding to the story however they see fit.

RULES (Please Read Carefully):

  1. Responses must be 400 words or less. This is important, as it allows everyone to participate without one person advancing the plot too much or hijacking the story. If you need to check your word count, you can do so here. Please note that any post that exceeds 400 words will be deleted.
  2. Please pick up where the previous poster left off. While you're free to be creative, continuity is important. Please avoid unrelated/off-topic posts, abrupt setting changes, etc.
  3. Please stick to the POVs (points of view) that are allowed, which will be listed at the beginning of every Round Robin. If the RR is limited to Snape or Harry's POV, for example, please don't write from Voldemort's perspective. We don't want multiple people writing from too many POVs – that can easily lead to a confusing and/or disjointed story.
  4. Participants cannot respond to their own posts. While you can participate as often as you like, please wait for another person to respond before posting again.
  5. If you'd like to respond to a post, please reply with the word "CLAIMED". This is a placeholder that prevents multiple people from responding at the same time. Once you've posted your response, the placeholder can be deleted.

Okay, I think that's it for now. Please feel free to post in this thread if you have any questions/feedback. 🙂

Just a note on claims:

Once you've claimed the next spot, you have up to 24 hours to post your response. If you don't respond within 24 hours, your claim will be deleted.
