The Always Snape Writer's Workshop
Quote from Heatherlly on March 18, 2023, 6:42 pmWhile we have an excellent thread for writing tips, it can also be helpful to work with individual writers to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. We all have different needs, and of course, the best way to improve your writing is through practice.
That's where this thread comes in. Members may post a portion of their writing (up to 400 words) and receive advice on how to improve it. We'll help you pinpoint things like grammatical errors, clunky/unnatural dialogue, tense issues, or anything else you might be struggling with.
Note: While we're happy to help, this isn't a beta reading service. Our goal is to identify issues based on samples of writing, which writers can use to improve the rest of their work.
No story? No problem!
Writing a full length story can be intimidating, especially if you've never done it before. We recommend starting with something smaller, like one of our weekly writing challenges... this can be a great way to practice writing with minimal pressure.
I think that covers it, though please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to helping you with your writing! 🙂
