Jokes aside, Echo sounds like a good name for a bat animagus based on echolocation of bats.

I legit love Echo as a name for him, regardless of what form his animagus form takes. It's just so him.

I headcanon Severus to have a raven as an animagus/patronus.

A raven is symbolic of quests, prophecies, and connections to the spiritual world. I think of Lily in this instance.

In urban legends, Ravens are portrayed as prophetic beings and guides. They symbolize wisdom, protection, healing, and death. They symbolize change, transformation, guidance, and reflection. They are guardians and the keeper of secrets. They are silent observers of the environment and help one to understand deeper truths. They are cunning, adaptable, and intelligent creatures.

If that doesn't suit Severus, I don't know what else would.

I love this! I have seen some fanfics that give Snape a Raven familiar but that being his animagus form sounds brilliant as well.

Ravens are also seen as bad omens in many cultures without any good reason; the same goes for Snape, he gets way more hate than he deserves

Ravens are awesome and they fit Snape a lot. I've read many fics with his Patronus being Raven/Crow and often a wizard's animagus and patronus are same.

Ravens definitely represent him well. And as @darkangel said, they are seen and perceived as bad omens, when that is not the case at all. Which is absolutely 100% the case for Severus.

I headcanon that there was something going on between Snape and Narcissa more than friendship. She was intimately touching Snape in the Spinners End chapter and Snape seemed far more comfortable with her than most people and even treated her quite gently. My first thought after reading that chapter first time was Yup, these two are definitely fucking. 😹😹

Honestly, I kinda agree LOL! I wouldn't be surprised if they ever did it when Lucius was in Azkaban...

And not even out of romance, really, but even just out of need in a very difficult time.

I mean, it was even described that Narcissa was easily able to navigate her way to Severus' place, implying she had been there often enough, and I highly doubt Lucius would ever be caught dead in a place like that.

So when she did, this implies she had visited him alone multiple times.
